DESCRIPTION:The Basel/Zurich research cluster of SNSF “Digital Lives” p
 rojects is organizing a three-day conference on “Digital Practices. Read
 ing\, writing and evaluation on the web” at the University of Basel\, Sw
 itzerland. The conference will take place from June 3rd to June 5th 2020.\
 \r\\nIn line with our own research\, our conference aims to examine digita
 l discourses on the web from the perspectives of Digital Humanities\, Lite
 rary Studies\, and Digital/Computational/Corpus Linguistics. Sticking wit
 h the overall topic "Reading\, writing and evaluation on the web\," we cas
 t a wide net from methodology\, hands-on studies of social digital practic
 es to epistemological reflexion of ‚big data‘ humanities: We invite pa
 pers that explore how adults and adolescents read online and offline\, how
  they write about their reading experiences individually and collaborative
 ly\, how lay people in particular appraise\, assess and evaluate online\, 
 and how we as digital scholars approach\, analyze and interpret the data a
 nd practices we collect for our research (see list of key topics below).\\
