Profile
Christian works as a Research Associate, Lecturer, and Head of Digital Humanities Teaching a.i. . Christian's research interests include new technologies and their impact on society and economics, digital heritage, and data analytics. As a lecturer, he consistently integrates current topics into his courses, such as AI, Sustainability, NFT, Inclusion, and Digital Transformation.
Christian is a member of the board of the Association Digital Humanities Switzerland and was also co-host of the DHCH conferences at the Istituto Svizzero in Rome in 2023, titled "Digital Transformation: How to Design the Digital Future in Culture" and in 2024, titled "Data Science and Digitization in Cultural Heritage".
He has a very broad interdisciplinary background. Christian holds a Bachelor's degree in History & Political Science and a Master's degree in History & Digital Humanities from the University of Basel. He also holds a teaching diploma for Maturitätsschulen in History from the University of Teacher Education Lucerne (PHLU), a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master of Advanced Studies in Corporate Finance from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). Before his current role, he worked in the financial sector in various roles and leadership positions, including corporate banking, private equity, and collaboration management. Currently, Christian is pursuing a PhD in experimental data analysis, for which he received a start-up scholarship from the Graduate School of Social Sciences.
