Julien A. Raemy currently works as a Data Scientist at the Swiss Federal Archives. He is an active member of the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) and is part of the Linked Art Editorial Board.

Between February 2021 and March 2024 he was a Project Assistant at the Digital Humanities Lab of the University of Basel within the Participatory Knowledge Practices in Analogue and Digital Image Archives (PIA) research project, being involved in the extension of the data infrastructure, the uptake of IIIF as well as designing the data model. In parallel, he worked until October 2024 as an Interoperability Specialist for DaSCH – Swiss National Data and Service Center for the Humanities.
